Personality
This image is one that I took last month in Galveston; or, maybe the timing was August. Our young model had a refreshing personality. I like her face turned upward and the left hand on the far side of the column. Hiding most of the butterfly shirt behind the column helps focus our attention on her face. The shot was taken with only available light.

I like it! This is an interesting and different portrait of a young girl and you are right, the column helps take the attention away from the pattern on her shirt. The contrast of her dark hair and skin against the light background and columns draws the viewer's eye right to her face. My only suggestion would be to crop down from the top so that her face is more on a focal point in the composition.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Cindi, a 4x5 crop would eliminate a lot of the head room that is not very interesting and a very interesting subject and pose. Nice capture.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comments. If I ever do anything with the image, I will remember.
